Well it’s about bloody time that the Government came out with this legislation. I reckon most people with any sense realize that drugs impair the users reflexes and judgement so one wonders why it took so long for this legislation to come into existence.
To date, there are two drugs you can be tested for THC which is the active component in cannabis, and Methylamphetamine also known as speed, ice or crystal meth. It is now an offence to drive a motor vehicle under the influence of booze or these two drugs.
This post may be a little tardy because the it actually became effective in July of 2006, but shit better late than never?
