I often wonder about the ingenuity of staff in solving problems when the boss is away. Take for example this clerk and his unique answer to a poor customer who comes in with a bad cough.
The local chemist comes back after his lunch break to find a man leaning heavily against a wall.
He goes inside and asks his assistant what the guys problem is.
“He wanted something for his cough, but I couldn’t find the cough syrup,” the assistant explains. “So I gave him a laxative and told him to take it all at once.”
“Laxatives won’t cure a cough, you idiot,” the owner shouts angrily.
“Sure it will,” the clerk says, pointing at the man leaning on the wall. “Look at him. He’s afraid to cough.” 😆
