I can’t believe it, now that Liberals have lost the election Peter Costello no longer wants to lead the party. What makes it so unbelievable is that we all know how much he wanted to lead the party and now that he has the chance he gives it up. It seems he wants to build a career in the commercial world.
Naturally this leaves the door open for millionaire Malcolm Turnbull who surprised everyone by keeping his seat of Wentworth. Who knows, now that the Liberals have to regroup after their loss, perhaps this is just what they need to get them off on a new start, especially as we all know that very few Aussies wanted Costello around anyway.
