What To Do With Your Scam Emails

I got this email today and I would like to highlight it to all my readers as a typical BS scam email. This is most likely one of many fraudulent emails that are currently hitting inboxes and is most likely a Nigerian scam messages.

Usually this type of message generally claims that your help is needed to access a large sum of money and they normally insinuate that it involves millions of dollars. Usually these morons will play on the recipient’s greed, sympathy and stupidity because the truth is that this money doesn’t even exist.

Unlike the ‘phishing’ tactic, that I mentioned in the previous post, the scammer wants you to reply to the message and that is when it starts to get serious. Once you reply, you’ve taken the bait and they will try to reel you in and they usually will ask for some fees to help push the deal along. It’s surprising how many people fall for this being blinded by the dollar signs floating in front of their eyes.

Some people know that it is a scam, and even think that they will string these people along just for a joke. Don’t as these people are dangerous criminal and it could turn ugly? Anyway this is the latest one that I received.

I got one yesturday saying that i had won eight hundred and fifty thousand pounds and that they needed assistance in delivering the cheque via carrier. I emailed back for more info. The carrier, after converting into USD, wanted $700 to deliver the envelope with the check. I just laughed…Are you kidding me….to deliver an envelope. You are right on target with this article.
