I remember a time not all that long ago, when I was a young lad working for G.J Coles, how we had to price everything by hand using either a stamper or a meto gun. Man, what a tedious job that was. Then there were all those price checks that I was called out on because either the stamp imprint was smudged or the pricing ticket had fallen off. I used to hate those as it always happened right when I was in the middle of something.

I so wish that they barcode scanners in those days as it would have made things so much easier, and as long as everything was programmed correctly it is almost idiot proof.
