Kevin Rudd Wants The Dead To Stimulate The Economy

I couldn’t believe it when I heard that Kevin Rudd’s latest stimulus package meant that people who had lodged a 2007/2008 tax return and earned less than $100,000 a year, and had since died, would also receive $900 payments. I can just imagine all these corpses clawing out of their graves in their eagerness to spend their hard won cash in their efforts to kick start the economy.

Then there is the fiasco where they sent part of the package to people living overseas. How the hell is that going to stimulate our economy? The answer obliviously is that it won’t. It just goes to show that the Government hasn’t really put too much thought into this package at all and that it is pretty well a knee jerk reaction. What a waste of money when that money would have been far better served by investing in long term infrastructure for the greater benefit of all Australians.

It is supposed to go the the deceased estate, and it has been revealed today that as some people leave their estate to their pets, some pets will also be receiving the $900. The problem is the idea of the package is to stimulate the economy now, not years down the track when the estate finally gets cleared.

It has also been revealed today that a whole heap of prisoners will also get the package. What is moronic is that many people who could have done with the help, pensioners etc, get nothing. Honestly I reckon the Government has really stuffed this one up.

Hey, he’s coming over to see you guys soon, another trip under his belt just so he can live up to his name as jet-set Rudd. I dare say he will be on your news. Perhaps you can make something of he gobbledygook, I know I can’t.
