There is a stark difference that I have noticed between the homes of people with European background to those of people born here. This difference which can be found in their gardens, more so the back garden but also in the front is the presence of many fruit trees, from Plum trees to citrus trees like oranges and lemons.
Whilst there are many people who would scoff at having fruit trees in the front garden, I think it makes perfect sense as they can be quite ornamental as well as being able to supply you with many varieties of fresh fruit throughout the year.
