There are many people who say that you can’t trust the Government and that is probably because they are well known for promising the Earth and giving you nothing. I think this joke says it better than most.<\/p>\n
A modern day cowboy has spent many days crossing the western plains
\nwithout water.<\/p>\n
His horse has already died of thirst.<\/p>\n
He’s crawling through the sand, certain that he has breathed his
\nlast breath, when all of a sudden; he sees an object sticking out of
\nthe sand several yards ahead of him.<\/p>\n
He crawls to the object, pulls it out of the sand, and discovers
\nwhat looks to be an old brief case.<\/p>\n
He opens it and out pops a genie. But this is no ordinary genie.<\/p>\n
She is wearing a Tax Office ID badge and a dull grey dress.<\/p>\n
There’s a calculator in her pocket-book. She has a pencil tucked
\nbehind one ear.<\/p>\n
‘Well, cowboy,’ says the genie… ‘You know how I work. You have
\nthree wishes.’<\/p>\n
‘I’m not falling for this.’ said the cowboy. ‘I’m not going to
\ntrust an Tax Office genie.’<\/p>\n
‘What do you have to lose? You’ve got no transportation, and it
\nlooks like you’re a goner anyway!’<\/p>\n
The cowboy thinks about this for a minute, and decides that the
\ngenie is right.<\/p>\n
‘OK, I wish I were in a lush oasis with plenty of food and drink.’<\/p>\n
***POOF*** The cowboy finds himself in the most beautiful oasis he
\nhas ever seen. And he is surrounded with jugs of wine and platters
\nof delicacies.<\/p>\n
‘OK, cowpoke, what’s your second wish.’<\/p>\n
‘My second wish is that I was rich beyond my wildest dreams.’<\/p>\n
***POOF*** The cowboy finds himself surrounded by treasure chests
\nfilled with rare gold coins and precious gems.<\/p>\n
‘OK, cowpuncher, you have just one more wish. Better make it a good
\none!’<\/p>\n
After thinking for a few minutes, the cowboy says… ‘I wish that
\nno matter where I go, beautiful women will want and need me.’<\/p>\n
***POOF*** He turned into a tampon.<\/p>\n
