2008 Google Adwords, Developing new services

I must admit though that this one made me think twice. On looking at it more closely I decided that they were on a phishing expedition, so don’t take the bait, just hit the delete key.

It sure would be interesting to see how many other people got this email.

Me neither which is why I knew this email was BS. Still, I wonder how many customers who have an account actually get caught by crap like this.

It would be so cool if there was a way to trace these emails back to the scum that send them out and make them pay for plaguing so many people.

I keep getting these – especially adwords related ones. They look extremely like the real thing and even as a ‘savvy’ internet user I nearly fell for it.

I feel sorry for the less savvy users in this modern world!

It just goes to show that you can never let your guard down.

I had a client fall for a similar one a couple of weeks ago… that was about the expiry of his card so he happily went along to the phishing site and entered all of his details!

Luckily he emails me everytime he does anything related to his business so I was quickly on the phone to him to get him to cancel his credit card and change his passwords.

But this is exactly why they do it, because people keep falling for it.

I know, but you hear about this sort of thing all the time, you’d think that everybody would be aware of it by now.
