SHOWDOWN XXII turned out to be a real show stopper. Against all odds, and I reckon there will be a lot of unhappy bookies, they beat the Power and they did it convincingly. Perrie who normally gets a lot of negativity from a lot of fans, especially my son, showed them that it was all misplaced. He kicked 3 goals and caused a couple of others.
Andrew McLeod was all over the place, heading off the Powers charges and starting his own attacks totalling 30 disposals. Bassett and Mattner both got 23 disposals and Reilly with 22. Though the Power had more inside 50’s the Crows hassled them so much they either didn’t score or scored minor points.
