No Passport Needed For Hawaii

~~~
Lately there have been an increase in the rental of maui condos as well as many other Hawaiian Beach Rental properties. This has been attributed to the new laws that require US citizens returning to the country by air to show a passport. When you consider the fact that in 2006, only a quarter of the American public actually held a passport it is no wonder there has been an increase in local tourism.
Of course this was all brought about by the atrocities that occurred on September 11 and in accordance with the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, the passport requirement is a part of the states’ and Homeland Security’s Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. Charles Koehl of Hawaiian Beach Rentals thought this may cause an influx of visitors so he had the staff conduct a survey of customers and found that,
In light of the new passport regulations, more than half the customers questioned intend to make domestic travel arrangements as opposed to scheduling international travel. In fact, one of our customers who’s spent her life travelling the south pacific told us that as long as her favourite Kauai condo is available, there’s really no need to leave the US.
When you think about it, with all the natural beauty and the friendly people that can be found in Hawaii, I know I’ve been there, why would you go anywhere else. Nothing beats a luau on the beach and whether you want to relax on the beach, shop or hit all the tourist spots, then Hawaii is the best.
