I feel very fortunate to be alive in this millenium, what with the advances in technology and a lifestyle that far surpasses that of the “old days”. Then again, the “old days” did have many advantages, the most important one being that of feeling safe in the community. That unfortunately is a feeling that no longer exists in the modern era of ours, especially because of the threat of terrorism and the lunacy of many individuals who like to take firearms to many venues like airports, night clubs and even schools.

This has led to business opportunities for companies such as Rapiscan Systems who supply security metal detectors for all types of situations including the ones I have already mentioned. They supply anything from walk through metal detectors to hand held units, and one would hope that these units will bring back that safe feeling that is lacking in our modern era.
