I’ve been in business for some 28 odd years and one of the best tips I can pass on is to look after your customers. Why is this so important? You’re kidding right? No customers no cash, and if you don’t keep your customers happy not only won’t they return but they will give your business a bad rap which will mean even less customers and before you know it you will be short one business.

Of course the first thing in any new business is to get those customers through your doors or to your website. You may want to advertise in your local rag, run a leaflet drop or advertise on many of the local notice boards. On should never forget the importance of Local Marketing Opportunity when starting up a business.

Another great way to get your business noticed is get it listed on the Internet. Depending what you are selling you can reach a huge potential customer base. Of course you will need to use different strategies to get you new site noticed but this should not put you off, as there is a lot of help available to get you started. If you have the time you can do all the research yourself or if time is of the essence then you can pay someone to do it for you.

Whatever you do, remember once that customer gets to your site or steps through the front door you treat them like gold. Do that you have a better chance at success in any venture you choose to start.
