Born an innocent, taught to be evil,
Lives of the innocent, he cares not.
Life of a terrorist, hate all consuming
Terror his weapon, the bomb his companion.
A jacket of destruction, bombs well hidden,
A target well chosen, lives will be lost.
Push of a button, a roar and destruction,
Blood of the innocent, wounded lay screaming.
The making of a martyr? I think not.
Result is anger, grief and despair.
Retaliation an option, what other is there?
Damned if we do, damned if we don’t!
Ignoring the evil will bring more of the same.
Well placed bombs, still kill the innocent.
Yet with loss of life there is sorrow,
Not for the terrorist, for life means nothing.
Enemy or brethren he makes no distinction
Peace for the terrorist, he cares not.
