The one thing that I have found relatively difficult as a parent, especially as I am one of a couple of young teens, is finding things that will keep them amused. Luckily with the help of the Internet and a bit of careful searching you can come up with some very unique and interactive projects for them.

Take for example Free Coloring Pages which though it requires registration it is free to join. This site can provide hours and hours of fun. It is full of pictures that they can colour online and it is so simple to use. The kids simply pick a picture they want to color in and they will then get taken to another page with a palette of colors. They then simply pick a colour and point to a section of the picture that they would like to represent that color. The picture can then be printed. They can even share the pictures with friends and see how other kids completed the same picture.

The site will even allow the kids to draw, scan and upload their own picture, which will then be converted into a format that they can color in, online. This is a great way for them to share pictures with friends. They just have to be sure that all lines actually meet in order for it to work properly. I reckon this one should keep them busy for a while.
