Who would have ever thought that BP would ever start their own blog? OK, maybe the blog is not to do with BP exactly, but they were the ones to start it and it’s all about the BP Solar Decathlon. This is where 20 university teams from around the world have to design, build and operate liveable, efficient and completely solar powered houses. The event starts in two days and all those participating, including an on site reporter will use the blog for daily updates. What a great way to keep tabs of all that is going on throughout the competition.
It’s no wonder that BP is proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Energy in sponsoring the Solar Decathlon, knowing that by participating in this great project there will one day evolve a cost effective and clean alternative to everyday living. This is just one of the ways that BP is trying to contribute to the efforts of not only developing a better energy resource but also in finding ways of minimizing the rate of global warming.
Visiting the blog and joining in by contributing by way of comments can also involve you. Perhaps you could discuss ways that you are helping in cutting down on greenhouse gases or even give the guys in the competition tips that may help them win.
