It seems that because of the Internet a lot of people are forgoing their checking accounts, whereas I on the other hand have kept mine active. There are many occasion when the facilities that the Internet offers just do not cut it. The fact is that where transactions can be lost on the Net and it is almost impossible to track, paying by check is a lot more secure and leaves a positive paper trail.

Another positive besides proof of payment is that it is a lot safer to carry checks than it is cash. It is also a great way of keeping track of your budget as well as making those secure payments by mail. There is no way I would give up my check account.
