A laptop like any computer will run efficiently as long as it has enough memory to cope with the demands of the work it is given. It isn’t at all unusual for the laptop to slow down months after the initial purchase. This could be because of a whole lot of malaware downloaded unintentionally from the Internet and if you find after eradicating these and any viruses present that your laptop is still not running up to speed it is very possible that you are in need of extra laptop memory!
It is highly likely that since your initial purchase you have installed some memory hungry programs that are chewing up all the laptop’s memory causing everything to slow down.
My laptop started running pretty slow, so I added two GB chips, removing what was already in there, and it jumped the speed up drastically. But it’s tapped at this juncture; four years old. My next one, I’m making sure to have as much memory as it will handle up front.
