This is the slogan that the Australian Democrats used to live by. Unfortunately for them less and less Australians are giving their support to the Democrats. This could well be because many Australians do not agree with their policies and that they have lost touch with what Australians really want.

Natasha Stott Despoja in her latest quote stated

I think Australians…will recognise that they need the Democrats more than ever before.

Unfortunately a National Nine News Poll, up to the time of writing this post, shows that the majority of Australians disagree with her. Perhaps they need to re-group and focus what Australians really want rather than trying to please the minority.
