Aussie Drought Exposes Weapons

~~~
We’ve all seen movies where crooks commit a violent crime and where does the weapon always go? A vast majority of the time it goes into either a river or a lake or something. It seems that the drought in Australia is exposing some of these weapons.
So far Lake Wendouree in Ballarat and in a creek at nearby Creswick have exposed four guns. Of the four one was a sawn off .22 semi-automatic rifle, another an old bolt action 12 gauge shotgun and there was also a lever action .22 rifle. One of the rifles was actually linked to a burglary some twenty years ago.
One wonders what other things may turn up. I suggest anyone with a metal detector go down and see what fortunes you may find.
