I came across this little news clip about how the Maoris of New Zealand, particularly those of the town of Kaikoura, have done a complete turnaround. Once they used to help in the slaughter of thousands of whales whereas now the only whales they shoot is with cameras as whales are now a great tourist attraction.

If only the Japanese would give up slaughtering the whales and leave these gentle giants alone.
