I have to be quite honest with you, until the other day whilst at the Royal Adelaide Show I didn’t know what was involved in sheering a sheep. Heck, I reckon that unless you live on a farm most people have no idea of what is involved in sheep shearing. That being the case I thought I should do all those guys/gals a favour by filming an actual sheep shearing demonstration.
When you consider that these guys can sheer up to 150 sheep a day you have to admit that sounds like pretty hard work. Back breaking work too seeing as how they spend most of the time stooped over so they can remove the wool from the sheep. So next time you put on that woollen jumper perhaps you could share a thought for all the hard work involved in making it.
